WE GOT AN APARTMENT!!!!
After weeks of searching for an apartment that wasn't creepy or an inlaw (meaning its an apartment built under a house), we found one.

My man and I saw it on sunday.  It's on the third floor of an apartment building, and has a garage parking spot, laundry room, and storage.  In addition, its pretty spacious and well lit, and includes a working fireplace.  The only bad part is that it is right next to the freeway.  And by right next to, I mean this kitchen almost looks down onto highway 280.  The good part, though, is that the walkway to the apartments is actually enclosed, so there is an additional wall and space between the apartments and the freeway, so its pretty nice. 

We really wanted it, and its not too expensive for two people to rent, but we were terrified we wouldn't get it.  I think two of the things in our favor were that we really liked it and told the landlady, and that we actually had copies of our credit report printed out.  Seriosly, the next time any of you apartment-hunt, take a copy of your credit report; it shows them that you're serious.

So, that's the big news here, other than that I suck at trying to post html code.

Yep, I'm all special.

I don't think that there's a perfect aprt anywhere (next semester I live 5 min walk to studio! In an awesome older house built with real materials like wood and stuff. Except the porch is scary, no parking and no sidewalks). It sounds like you came pretty close.

The real question is, how far is it from places you want to go?
