MOOOLLLLEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feb. 3rd, 2005 07:56 pmWell, its done. My mole is no more. I went to the health center, and was taken to the room. The nurse lady was really cool and let me sit so I could see the surgury. So I took off my pants and had a drape for my lap (because I'm not a skanky ho). The nurse then cleaned the area of my right thigh with iodine and then the Doc came in. Using a small needle, he put copious amounts of local anesthetic into my thigh. The area under my mole had so much local that it was puffed up (the reason being that the anesthetic shrinks the blood vessels and lowers bleeding). Then the scalpel was used, taking out an oval about 1.5 inches long. It was wierd to feel that something was happening, but not hurting. It was cool! Then it started bleeding a little bit, so it looked like a bloody eye in my thigh. After it was cleaned, the Doc used seven absorbable stitches on the sub cutaneous layer(they won't need to be removed), then six nylon stitches on the top. After I was all bandaged up, they left the room so I could dress. As I was dressing, I grabbed the jar that had my mole in it, sitting in a solution and I said goodbye and swirled my mole around. In two weeks I get to find out if its cancerous or not. So yay for that.
And that is the tale of my surgery. Goodnight mole!
